  The Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) announced on October 10, 2022 (Monday), that it has been decided to make registration of foreign food manufacturing facilities that come under five different food categories and are intended to export such items mandatory. Beginning on February 1st of next year, FSSAI will make it necessary for Foreign Food Manufacturing Facilities to register in order to export goods or products including milk, meat, and infant foods to India.
